My Favorite Products and Camera Gear

Below area few of my favorite things that I use on a daily basis, whether I’m working from home, editing, or out in the field shooting weddings. From little things that just make my life easier to the best gear out there! I’ve also included the links so you can add them to your gear collection!

my camera bag: 31l Wandrd prvke pack

This backpack is my favorite thing I own aside from my cameras of course. I’m on my second pack, my first one lasted about 5 years, but I did put it through a lot. I’ve taken this pack to several countries, through many airports, I’ve taken it hiking, to weddings, photoshoots, and more. I have the 31L PRVKE pack for the maximum amount of space for cameras and lenses, the amount of stuff I shove into this pack is honestly impressive. Click HERE to buy it on Amazon! You won’t regret it.

the sony a7iii, my choice of camera body

I have two Sony A7iii’s that I use daily. These cameras are legit workhorses and have the most beautiful color tones! They are also absolutely fantastic in any lighting situation, they’re creamy and gorgeous in bright light and smooth at night even when my ISO is in the thousands. Sony makes phenomenal camera gear, I cannot recommend them enough. On top of just being awesome cameras, they’re also super lightweight which is helpful when you’re on your feet all day. Apple 2021 macbook pro

I use a Apple 2021 MacBook Pro with the M1 Pro Chip for all of my photo processing and editing through Lightroom/Photoshop products. It is hands down the best computer I’ve ever had for the amount of photo processing I do and the massive files I move around. It’s lightning fast, and just overall a workhorse. You should get one, click HERE.

SD cards and storage

I store all of my SD cards in a Elephant Waterproof Case. This particular case has 26 slots which is really great for organizing my SD cards and separating weddings. Buy it HERE!

For my SD cards, I really like the SanDisk 64GB Extreme PRO. 64GB doesn’t seem like much card space (and it’s not, for Sony images it shoots only up to about 1200 RAW uncompressed images), but I like that because if I were to shoot on a massive card for an entire wedding, what happens if that card gets damaged or corrupts? This has never happened to me, but it’s a “just in case” plan. If I shoot a smaller amount of photos on multiple cards, if one corrupts then I have tons of backup images. Get your SD cards HERE!

The LaCie Rugged Mini 2TB External Hard Drive is what I use for storage, I have a few of them so I have multiple back ups. Here’s the LINK!

My Camera Harness

I personally use the Rose Anvil Camera Harness (Bandit), it is amazing and I can’t recommend it enough. It doesn’t have any moving parts, so my hair won’t get stuck in it, and it also has hooks at the bottom so my cameras don’t swing around and knock into things. I’ve had this harness for about 5-6 years and it has held up beautifully. Every once and awhile I tighten all the straps and screws to make sure nothing is loose, but overall it has been great to use. Here’s the LINK.

Rose Anvil is pretty pricey, so I’ve linked another one HERE that is also really awesome and bit lower in price!

The comfiest shoes for photographing weddings

If you’re a wedding photographer, then you know what it’s like to be on your feet for 12hrs straight while hauling around heavy gear. It’s rough, and by the end of the day your feet are worthless. I can’t even tell you how many pairs of shoes I’ve been through, trying to find the perfect pair for weddings days. They have to look nice, they have to be comfortable, they have to have support, and they have to hold up over time. The ONLY pair of shoes I have ever actually loved shooting weddings in are the all popular Hey Dudes. Do yourself a favor (and your feet) and hop on over to Amazon and get yourself a pair. You won’t regret it. Linked HERE
